No matter where you live in the world, if you love Scotland and Scottish culture then you might want to find a way to bring it into your home. There are plenty of different ways to do this and it doesn’t just mean adding a bottle of whisky to your drinks cabinet.
Why not pick out a few Prints for your walls? There is a range of prints available that show scenes of Scotland. Consider an image of the Highlands, or one of the many Scottish castles. Tartan is a very easy thing to add to your home as it is used in all kinds of soft furnishings these days. You don’t have to have a lot of it for it to make an impact. If you have a relatively neutral room, then you can use tartan to add a touch of colour in the form of cushions or throws. These will really stand out and can make the home very cosy.
Tartan is not the only design that makes people instantly think of Scotland. The thistle is an iconic emblem and you can find plenty of items that have a thistle design. Mugs, coasters and even a print for the walls are all easy to add to the home.
Take a look at your home and work out where you can add in your Scottish themed items. Make the changes gradually, adding in one or two items at a time then add to them over time. The trick is not to overdo it and have too much.
